Locking C4 to Recon just doesn’t make sense gameplay-wise or thematically. Support has always been the class that pairs best with C4. You’re the one holding down choke points, defending objectives, and resupplying teammates. It just fits that tactical, area-control role. Switching to Recon for C4 feels like such a downgrade. You lose the resupply box, your gadgets aren’t as impactful in a squad context, and suddenly your whole playstyle revolves around trying to keep your LMG stocked up. It’s like the devs wanted to encourage class identity but ended up breaking one of the most natural setups in the series.
I also agree with the idea of multi-class gadget overlap. It worked perfectly fine in BF4. Battlefield’s always been about emergent, sandbox-style gameplay, and restricting something as iconic as C4 just limits that freedom. If anything, they should lean more into shared gadgets and let class identity come from teamwork and weapon specialization, not arbitrary gadget restrictions.
