"Bring the A-10 Warthog to BF6 — and give it the soundscape it deserves"
Title says it. I want the A-10 "Warthog" attack aircraft in Battlefield 6 — and specifically, I want DICE to nail the sound design, because that's what makes the Hog legendary.
Think about the real experience of a Warthog strafing run:
First, you hear the ground-level chaos— the continuous crump of cannon fire and explosions ripping through the position below
Then, slightly delayed, the airborne roar — the engines and the unmistakable bark of the GAU-8 Avenger cutting through the sky
Finally, the high-altitude shriek — the Hog screaming past overhead, a sound that tells every infantryman on the ground exactly what's coming
That layered, distance-aware audio is what gives the A-10 its terrifying presence. It's not just a plane; it's an event. You hear it before you see it, and by the time you look up, the run is already over.
BF6's current aircraft audio is competent but lacks that scale and dread. Adding the Warthog with proper distance-based acoustics — distant rumble, mid-range engine growl, close-pass sonic shriek — would be one of the most memorable additions to the game.
Plus, the Hog fits BF6's combined-arms fantasy perfectly: slow, brutal, ground-attack focused, a counter to tanks and entrenched infantry alike. Give it a pilot+gunner seat, a reasonable cooldown, and let it define the battlefield the way it did in BF2/Bad Company era.
