Bug - PC game goes to black screen, loud fans and then frozen PC

as title says, started after the update. Worked fine before. 

I have to hard reset the computer. It doesn't make it past the menu 

9800x3d, ddr5, 5090 

tried the amd core work around with no luck. This sucks, help? 

got some updates 

so if I launch in windowed mode the game seems to load however if I change it at all, it makes the display turn off and fans go wild until I reset it
