Bullet penetration

bullets should go through basic surfaces come on. I can't shoot through cardboard i can't shoot through thin wood walls I can't shoot through plastic garbage bins wtf. Many people have already raised the point that the penetration ammo type should just be how all bullets act by default but on top of that I think what type of object all ammo types can penetrate needs to be expanded. wooden fences, this wood walls, chairs, plant pots, garbage bins, cardboard box piles, none of these items should stop bullets. all of these easily penetrable surfaces and more should allow bullets to pass through. I would even be fine if there was a small dmg debuff for bullets that pass through thicker things like wooden fences and thin wood walls. I'm not asking for this to be a R6 situation where half the cover in the game can be shot through, but I also cant stand how en enemy closing a door on me suddenly makes them invincible or when they step behind a chair (way too much clutter on some of these maps btw) and now my shots just don't hit.

  • Forgot to mention this would be a great opportunity to make the guns feel more diverse. guns with higher caliber could shoot through more dense and therefore more surfaces and have less dmg debuff compared to a 9mm smg which shooting through the same surface would have a higher debuff but also can't shoot through as many surfaces because there would be a limit on how thick of a surface the lower caliber can make it trough.
