Can DICE/EA give an official statement about joystick emulation?

I am not going to do it unless there is an official green light from Dice.. and I am even fine if they say it's not allowed but then it would really be appreciated if they would address their joystick support to make it at par with modern gaming standards. If they allows us to bind any axe/button from various connected devices this is already totally fine.
