No, BF6 and 2042 should be on the same platform, in your case either Steam
You will get all the skins etc. from BF2042 pass to your BF6 (if bought from BF6 from STEAM) even if you have the 2042 on EPIC. I have it the same way. I even played BF6 beta on steam and still got LYNX (gun you get for playing BF6 beta) for 2042. If you have linked your accounts to EA there shouldn't be any problems.
