Can we get a different Menu UI for console?

I know that the menu UI has been a complaint from both PC and console users, but I'm not worried about the esthetics or flipping through screens here. My gripe is that this menu is clearly set up with mouse and key in mind. I would not be surprised if controller users are spending twice as much time in the menu screens as keyboard and mouse users.
