Can you please make stingers less terrible to use

I'm on the lowest point in the map, prone, i have a perfectly clear line of sight, and yet i'm stuck doing nothing because my launcher refuses to work

I get that aircraft needs a way to dodge stingers by going low, but this is just ridiculous. let us lock on at a slower rate or just, something. It's very frustrating.
