Controller aim assistant to strong

This is coming from a controller player.

Aim assistant is to strong don't even have to try.

In this video you can see I don't even need to try and aim. Just place xhair in close proximity and it just follows.

Edit. first video I'm not even touching the right aiming stick. Every time I spam ADS it snaps to the target don't even need to try. The faster you spam the stronger the snap.

In the second video will show when the snap aim start. Look how strong it is.

This video shows the proximity the xhair needs for a snap. One again I move xhair away ads and snap.

I have been messing with the aim assistant settings and 20 snap and 20 slow down seems fair enough. As aim assistant is now feels like cheating. You literally don't even need to try and aim.

What the PC players are saying is right it's to strong. In xplay off games most controller players run 4x, 5x scopes on SMGs because aim assistant just keeps you on the enemy without trying.

Now add a cronus zen and you have almost aimbot. I have seen cronus zen scripts. And most spam ADS like I showed you but faster obviously. Every ADS spam holds the xhair on enemy.

So I was aware console players had less bloom and recoil, and was generally fine with it. A controller is intrinsically a worst device to play FPS, so if you want to balance, you have to give controllers an edge elsewhere. And as long as it's balanced, why not?

I don't believe that anymore, I think there is a core issue in letting controllers and m+kb play playing each others that can't be solved.

Say you're trying to get controllers at the same level: you want it to snap and then be as controllable during recoil so it matches the performance of m+kb. Ok, but whose performance? Because I watch vids of people playing m+kb snapping to the head in a microsecond and holding their x1 zoom right there despite the distance during an entire burst. Are you trying to match that?

Or are you trying to match me, a very average player with a consistently under 1 KDR? I'm not just slower at getting my aim there, I sometimes overshoot, I easily get fooled by back and forth strafing and jumping, and my recoil control is average. I'm working on it, but that's where I'm at after 6 months (and as this is not my first FPS by a long shot, let's just say my hopes of excelling are not very high).

So when you balance your controller, whose experience are you trying to match? Obviously, you don't want your console players to feel like they're being overmatched most of the time through no fault of their own, so you put the cursor up there. If you're good with a controller, you'll be able to match the best of m+kb players.

Which frankly makes players like me want to quit rather than improve. What's the point of trying to get a few milliseconds better at moving my aim when my opponent is just pressing a trigger and the whole thing snaps in place?

THERE IS NO BALANCING THIS, EVER.

  • I forgot they got less bloom too. Man why cant they just address our issues and split us up

Despite all their "we're listening!" posts and comments and blah blah blah I can't remember a single time they addressed how broken console players are.

It's made worse by the fact that not only does PC want to not play with console, console doesn't want to play with PC.  BOTH PARTIES want the same thing.  Yet, here we are, still talking about it however many months it's been since the game came out.

Of course, this doesn't even address the cronus cheaters.  EA should sue console manufacturers for not having a better solution for these cheats.  Of course, they could just look at input data and see someone with a controller hitting the ADS button 100 times in a second.  KIND OF A BIG GIANT RED FLAG.  But nah, instead we'll just let consoles go 100/4 and tell everyone the game is in a great healthy state.

    "I kind of feel cheated."

Did you know controllers get 25% less recoil and less bloom too?

This should not come from the mouth of any player regardless of platform! We play games because they are fun, challenging and a time sink. We play to escape or get a feeling of competition. You can NOT have an online multiplayer, multi-platform game and give a portion of the player base an advantage because of their chosen input method!

I have been complaining about Aim Assist since it was first introduced. The gaming industry NEVER should have merged the gaming experience into one! Players with it, think it is required for them to compete, but give it to someone already talented and it is a nightmare to play against, even for someone who is talented on M&K. You can't beat "hard coded advantages!"

Shame on EA/DICE for allowing this title to go this route. I thought they would learn from COD's mistake with AA but NOO!! Maybe because the EA/DICE dev team use controllers too? They won't answer any thread about it. So this is just a waste of time.

Thanks for posting this. Having never played with controller, I was never sure how to react when people say consoles have a huge advantage. Honestly, that first vid tells me the problem is real and as a fairly average m+kb player, I kind of feel cheated.
