I'm not very politically inclined but a game like battlefield 6 has a lot less immersion than the game like battlefield 1 so I don't really understand what the fuss is about you're playing a game about killing people. man or woman War is hell and will always be just that, war takes something from everyone. And to say it's just a man's burden seemingly negates the fact that everyone suffers and morals aside anyone should be able to defend what they believe in those who they love. If you're going for realism then that's just the thing as a soldier you don't get to choose who your combatants are or who your allies are a modern military will assign you to a unit based on their needs, that's realism if you have qualms with killing women or children or doing depraved things then the life of the soldier is not for you even in fiction. It's not glorious or morally righteous. it's hell and no one gets away unscathed. we're still playing on maps in the middle of population centers where families once lived If you're playing as pax then you're playing as militant terrorists and as much as I get the immersion thing I just don't think that's what the devs should be focusing on
Also some people may be more perceptive when it comes to games then I, but I play medic so I generally don't really care who I'm looking at I'm just waiting for the next Revive beacon to pop up, but I don't understand how it breaks immersion to hear a voice in the background or a glimpse of a face for 5 seconds before you get blown up by a missile. it just seems a little odd to me is all, do you actually think about that while you're playing or are you waiting to shoot at the next guy. most the time I can't even see what skin somebody's wearing because I've already shot them or they've already shot me
To be clear I don't really care about whether or not there is a toggle I just think it's odd that we focus on such things because half the time you can't even see what class somebody is let alone their facial features, it's just too fast paced of a game. How often do you actually think to yourself "oh my God I just killed a woman"? I understand where you're coming from but it seems a bit unfounded for a game like this

The thing is, i bought a male character with real money for Battlefield 6. And he still screams and talks like a girl, because Dice did not implement male voices for medic class.
That is my issue with the game. I bought something and now i'm running around like a drag queen. That is called woke. I'm forced to play as a woman, even with a paid man skin from the store.

spreadthehate I suppose your issue has grounds here but you did decide to buy the skin, if you don't want them to implement things like that or you want change then you show them with your wallet. by paying them you just showed them that it was fine, and in legal terms, did it explicitly say that the character was male? because in the day and age that we live in, you can't tell half the time, especially if the studio is already trying to implement these things it may appear as deception but sometimes it's just misunderstanding, they didn't force you to pay for that skin, and there are plenty of male characters in the game. If anything this is more of an issue of customization rather than forcing you to be woke
But at the same time I would rather the devs focus on making new maps, new guns, new vehicles, new mechanics, the only reason that there's any customization at all is because people pay them for it Battlefield 4 only really had camouflage customization but I felt pretty immersed not to mention half the skins you couldn't even see their faces so it didn't matter if they were male or female. people hated battlefield 5s customization because it looked out of place on the wrong maps/factions so pick a lane you can either have immersion or not
Battlefield 1 had no skin customization and it was the most immersive game in the series. Why do we worry about this I want to look cool too but just isn't the kind of game where you need to be looking at this stuff, at least it should be. If you're looking at people's skins instead of playing the game then they've made the game poorly. We've been conditioned to believe that it needs to have this stuff and it doesn't, it's a game about shooting people, blowing stuff up and sitting on a mountain top making half the lobby hate you. if you're going to add customization add it for leveling up, add it for doing something cool. not paying $30 in the store
You shouldn't be asking why this character you bought sounds like a female or sounds like a male you should be asking why you bought the character in the first place. It's Battlefield not World of Warcraft they should probably make it so that the voices match the look of the character but the true issue here lies in the fact that you bought a skin in the first place

I bought the male character, because i got sick of the dying screamin female soldiers as a medic player. I only play medic in all Battlefield i ever played, that is my role.
So i bought a male character, so i could become a male again. Only to find out Dice did not implement male voices in the support class. I find that very misleading! Why sell a male soldier skin with no male voices? They started this stupid female introduction in bf5 it was annoying there also, but at least you had the option to play as a male with male voices. In bf6 it is just not possible, i am doomed to play as a drag queen now. Now all you hear are screaming females from all the support class, there is no workaround because there is no male voicelines.
So, i paid money and did NOT get delivered what i wanted. Dice robbed me.
I agree BF1 was awesome. But you had male voices and you could play as a male. This is just NOT possible in BF6. Even if you pay for the false advertisement.
