Crash to Desktop with No Error Messages
I have been playing BF 6 for >200 hours, but have not had any difficulties till the last update. Now, when playing the game will crash to the desktop midgame without any warning and without any error messages. Addmitedly after applying some of the suggested actions it has allowed me to play for a short while, but ultimately always defaults back to only being able to play a couple of minutes in the game before crashing to the desktop.
My current rig:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Home
Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200
System Manufacturer ASUS
Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF, 3000 Mhz, 24 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s)
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 3107, 2025/11/28
SMBIOS Version 3.5
BIOS Mode UEFI
BaseBoard Product ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 64,0 GB
Total Physical Memory 63,8 GB
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Of the fixes I have tried to date:
Updated BIOS, disabled XMP, reinstall EACheat, Reinstall BF 6, Deleted Levels files, and repaired BF6, sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Changed Virtual memory, Delete all TOC files you find (these are small internal index files, ~200MB total) and then run repair. Updated NVIDIA drivers, and pretty much any driver on my desktop.
I have likely forgotten some of the fixes i have tried, but ultimately all comes down to the same conclusion. The game keeps crashing.
Does anyone have a solution here, or something else to suggest that may make the game run on my computer?
