I appreciate you weren't disagreeing about the cheaters on PC. My comments were for those "claiming" there are more cheaters on console which isn't the case.
As we've established, yes there are Cronus users unfortunately... but as you pointed out, Battlefield is able to detect this and has since been banning players for using it. To my knowledge Cronus can also be used on PC given it is a peripheral device, so again, this paired with the cheats being more accessible on PC makes the claim of more cheaters being on console comical.
In my experience (from when I last played over a week ago*), it was the same as any other game .eg: CoD, Helldivers, GTA. For context I'm using a standard Dualshock 5 (PS5) controller. No extra buttons or paddles, and I've not really changed the settings. The only thing I changed was unrelated to aiming (Vehicle boost toggle).
* The reason I've not played lately is because there's a bug where your tank spins on its own 😂 I believe this is just on controller but I'm not 100% sure. I'm waiting for that and the defib to be fixed before I come back. Before anyone says, its not stick drift, it's an actual issue many have reported lol.
So yes, maybe aim-assist does need to be fine tuned slightly, but not so much that it puts console players back to a disadvantage.
One other thing to keep in mind... the streamers are out... which means so are all the "Meta" builds. So, is it 100% aim-assist? or is it a combination of things such as recent changes, weapon builds, and the input device your using. Eg: KnM, Standard Controller or a programmable Controller. Just highlighting it could be a combination of things which some people may not consider initially.
