Cross play selection on PC?

The fact DICE went out of their way to override the ability for PC players to disable crossplay via GstGameplay.CrossPlayEnable 0 in the files instead of just implementing what we want is absurd.
Consoles have the ability, why are we forced to play with console players?
They lied about it prioritizing too. I've never been in a lobby with just PC players. I've been playing since the beta. Even with 300K players online, always mixed lobbies.
