Forum Discussion
I've seen many posts on the forum refer to the pacing of the game. It only has one speed: Ludicrous speed. There is no respite; no chance to breathe for a second and plan ahead.
This is, in my opinion, entirely attributable to the tiny maps. Even on Mirak Valley, the flags are tightly clustered. There's no cover in the wider map, so it's effectively dead space. Given the verticality in the map design, this contributes to the "everything everywhere everyone all the time" feeling - if you duck behind a rock for cover against players nearby, you'll get brained by a sniper 100m away on top of one of the buildings. I can understand the reasoning behind the design choice, but it just doesn't work well in practice.
The game needs bigger maps - the current ones are, frankly, poorly designed.
