Desperately need some conquest small and better maps
It’s been a few weeks, many have settled in and the result seems to be a way too sweaty game that results in just constant chaos, constant danger and 9/10 times getting shot from 2-3 different angles.
I personally do just fine in a pure performance standpoint, win the majority of my games, if I want to #1 every round. But it’s not always as fun as it should be.
But in the current maps, player count, community and hip fire meta it kinda forces you to play a very specific way, deviate just slightly and the game becomes twice as hard for no reason.
On the other hand I have my wife on the PS5 barely keeping her head above the water, way worse compared to previous titles. Basically the window of opportunity in BF6 to do anything is much smaller, if you don’t meet this window it’s GG. She is ready to quit.
It’s been said a million times already but the maps are just a major cause of this issue, makes me think of the Haven map from 2042, many BF6 maps follow the exact same philosophy, they are not maps designed for conquest, they are arenas. Add to this too many players, low TTK and a hip fire meta you have this as a result. Siege of Cairo is a good example, if you atk a flag you have 5 to 7 options to enter a flag, even if you come from your own flag you can still flank that same flag from the complete opposite side in just 10 seconds. It adds so much to the unpredictability and chaos we have in BF6.
I don’t see Eastwood solving a lot of issues, people will be crossing the map randomly and with the cover the way it is enemies will be popping up randomly, we’ll have to see so I hope I am wrong, but it’s a BF6 map after all.
Anyway, just having Conquest small 24vs24 or 16vs16 depending on the map would solve a lot of issues.
