Devs Nerfed Portal Experience but challenges remain untouched

Title pretty much says it all. They crippled the portal experience due to bot farming, but the main reason people were farming, which is the god awful challenges they created, remain untouched. Not even tweaked just a little. Didn't they do the EXACT same thing for bf 2042? curious to see how the rest of community feels about this. Do you guys think they will eventually tune the challenges? or are new players down the line officially cooked?
