Disable crossplay on PC

EA backtracks: No crossplay off for PC only. No console only crossplay

Man, this whole crossplay thing has been such a rollercoaster.

First we had an IGN interview where Ripple Effect’s Matthew Nickerson basically said that if you turned off crossplay, PS and Xbox players could still match together without PC.

That news was really well received by players that wanted the freedom to choose who to play against.

Now EA has come out and confirmed that’s not happening.

If you turn off crossplay on console, you only get matched with people on your same platform (PS with PS, Xbox with Xbox).

And on PC you can’t even turn it off at all, meaning you are forced to play against consoles whether you like it or not.

What sucks is that both sides wanted something here:

• Console players wanted console only crossplay to avoid cheaters and M&K advantages.
• PC players wanted the option to turn it off because of aim assist and Cronus.

Instead, nobody gets what they asked for.

Honestly feels like such a missed opportunity, and it just adds to the frustration with how EA communicates this stuff.

They should go back and actually implement these options, because it was clear that both console and PC players want them.

This needs to be reversed, if PC players feel like aim assist is op on controllers ( which I do) I'm stuck playing against them? That's crap, leave us our options don't give us less.

Unfortuneately it's true, so it is the **bleep** solution but it isn't right. Thanks to the Gamer Gods at EA! Their reasoning is a mystery except it's something to do with making money.

this is not resolved at all, just let PC user to disable this feature, if this is possible on console, this is possible on pc, the feature is already coded, i am developer, i know very well how it works !

Not since they backtracked on PC, originally was supposed to be able to disable on all platforms. Kinda BS that console again gets more options. Wtf like they're special, maybe like special K

Just to confirm what Brizzelsprout has said, unfortunately it's not possible to disable crossplay on PC. It's an option for consoles only, I'm afraid.
