Disable Giving Up for 5 Seconds After a Takedown

Hello,

I love the game so far, just some feedback regarding medical gameplay.

Is it possible to stop everyone from instantly giving up for 5 seconds after they are taken down?

To give the medic and the person who needs a revive a chance to get up. Most people instantly giveup as soon as they are taken down leading to unnecessary losses to the tickets.

Let me know what you think.

  • Agreed, nothing more annoying then rushing to get someone up to have them give up while you were about to revive them.

A lot of people also don’t know that when you hit the request revive button you bleed out slower. This should be on by default not at the press of a button. The option to respawn / give up should be at the touch of a button after a 5-7 sec delay

I generally agree with you, although there are some circumstances where giving up makes more sense (when you're far away from any friendlies [ie no medics anywhere near on the marker]). Or when your body is underneath a lot of enemies, I don't want a medic trying to rambo revive me and likely dying at the same time. But that's more strategic than the CoD folks who just want to respawn as quickly as possible to shoot again.

  • If medics actually did their **bleep**ing jobs, instead of sitting next to my corpse, doing sweet fk all, maybe. But as it stands, to many cod players! Not enough actual bf players. Nonone revives, its just charge charge charge, die don't again. This game is fuking trash

As a person that has mained a medic/support basically from the beginning and take good pride in getting a lot of revives and using smoke grenades to do it, maybe you're not playing with a good group and would be better off playing with people in a squad that know what they're doing and communicate?

I'm having a good time playing, but 90% of my time playing BF is with at least one other person over voice comms

Not a bad idea, but I do think that would kinda interfere with the strat of swapping classes/kits by dying in a blaze of glory. If I gotta sit there for 5s and chance coming back when I want to fully die then that's gonna kinda suck. Somewhat niche as a strategy yes, but honestly a really viable one especially if you're focused on trying to offset as much ticket damage as possible by burning one of yours to swap kits.

True, that too, occasionally I'll be essentially completely out of ammo, so depending on a medic/squadmate to pick you up but all you have is 3 rounds in a pistol isn't a useful time for you or the medic.

It's because the game is Way too fkn fast.  People would rather die and get back into the game, welcome to COD 2.0
