The reason why Linux doesn't work is because battlefield requires full access to your platform of choice for any cheating software or hardware and i don't believe linux supports that or has some difficulty interacting with the access. I remember hearing about it back in the beta because it banned 300k cheaters I believe.
Thats incorrect.
Linux has amazing extensibility, and can support any anticheat or type of software. So if it works on windows it should be even easier to implement on Linux
EA just doesn't support linux and it's a shame.
Malicious users whining about linux, dualboot.
