Don't tie skins to the class system.

EA/Dice. Please consider not tieing the skins to the class system. I haven't paid for certain skins simply because I dont play that class. It would be amazing to use any skin on any class. You get the best of both worlds and make MONEY. The class system should have nothing to do with skins. It wouldn't break your game with "realism" the fans are requiring. I get it in a sense, trying to make a medic class maybe look more medical. In real combat what would stop someone who isnt a medic from getting in there and helping another soldier even though they weren't actually a medic??? I want to spend some money. This is what's stopping the flood gates of my wallet lol. Hope this helps.

I wont buy them for this reason . If i can't use it across the board I'm not paying for it.

There's your answer. Don't like the skin for whatever reason, don't buy it. Nobody is forcing you to buy skins. If people quit buying them they will stop selling them and we can get back to having a real Battlefield with accurate uniforms.

I can think of a plethora of things that would be better to spend your money on than skins in a video game.

  • Yeah but if a skin applies to all classes, the classes all look the same, which isn't a good thing.

Being able to recognise the class your getting into a fight with is important.

Don't you get skins for all four at the same time? All the sold skins I've seen came in a bundle for all.

    No, please no.
(Maybe it's ok for REDSEC, and it's already so for some skins, but definitely bad for multiplayer experience)
The whole idea is that you can differentiate enemies by a single glance and then.
So you can prioritise dangerous classes first.
I.e. in a tank, you should first shoot the man with poking rpgs, and you can safely ignore some random heavy bag carrier.
Or you are a medic and a tank approaching, will you prioritise reviving an engineer or an assault? But they look the same now, and then you are looking at the rifle guy dancing in the plain field, trying to survive. Hint, he won't. And you too.

If skins were universal, it would be practically impossible to distinguish a sniper from an assault. It's already hard enough now with those "special skin variations" from bf2042 and some new ones. And the open weapons system makes that almost useless in CQC, since anyone can handle any gun, but good medics are still a priority target (sad that the current community don't revive & at the same time prefer to bleed out instantly).

An option to revive everyone by everyone will be good. At least if icons of pending revive won't clutter the entire screen, as it sometimes does for medics. Medics already have a revive speed buff and defib.

No the bundles do not include all classes. I would agree with opinion for at least redsec.  As far as my money. That's right it is my money. I dont spend my money on boos or drugs or clubs. So once in a while I'll buy a skin. I will only buy if for a class I play often. So someone like me will on buy a skin when It drops for 2 classes. As a business why wouldn't  you want me to potentially buy every skin you make?

They should release two skins of the same type for each class. One male and the other female. Enough of the stupid soldiers with a "bio". No one cares. Give us soldiers with grounded uniform sets and our choice of gender. The end.

  • This honestly isn't a game that would gain anything from having skins being available to all classes. As someone mentioned here before, it would make it harder to identify the classes and the would feel less unique.

Battlefield already suffers from the open weapons system, it would suffer more with the option to use a skin for any class.

Agreed. The "operators" and their characters/bio's are extremely stupid. You should be able to choose male/female... and every skin should have a male/female version that they can use on ANY class.

If you aren't going to lock weapons to classes... then there is NO POINT in locking skins to classes.
