EA is refusing to enforce their own TOS regarding the Drone/Hammer exploit abuse

Per EA's own Terms of Service, “When you access or use an EA Service, you agree that you will not … Use or distribute unauthorized software programs or tools (such as “auto”, “macro”, hack or cheat software), or use exploits, bugs or problems in an EA Service to gain unfair advantage".

So, as the title states, EA is refusing to enforce their own rules. What is most frustrating about this is that they won't even acknowledge that it is a problem and just apply a band-aid to eliminate it until it can be dealt with. SIMPLE SOLUTION! Disable the sledgehammer until the bug is fixed. This may upset others who simply use the sledgehammer, but this would eliminate the problem.

Breakthrough and Rush are nearly unplayable because of this and each day it gets worse. A few days ago, I'd run into it once or twice. Today, it's been every single one that has had an inaccessible rooftop location. I am perfectly fine with players using the ladders to climb up buildings, that is their purpose and that is FINE! Because those are getting onto locations that can be accessed, via ladders. But the drone and hammer is not that, it is exploiting a bug to gain an unfair advantage.

I know this isn't going to result in anything being done about it. The only way anything might happen is if major streamers starts getting spawnkilled instantly by people who abuse this resulting in them making a fuss about it. This is something that could be dealt with in an instant, but is just continuously getting worse.

Big +1 to this. If anyone does an exploit more than 2-3 times to test it out or repro the issue for bug reports, they should be perma banned, imo.

  • I'm honestly shocked that the game has been out for 17 days and nothing has been done to curb the drone/sledgehammer rooftop exploit. Every single game with out-of-bounds roofs has players on them. What's worse is nothing in the S1 patch notes even acknowledges or plans for any fix so there's a chance we'll be seeing these issues throughout S1 and further if their track record has anything to show for it.
