False ban for competitive advantage?

Hello, I was perm banned yesterday for "competitive advantage" with only like 30 hours logged on Steam and actually less than that since I frequently sit at the menu or have to do work-related things. I first off want to say I have never once in my life cheated in any game ever, never abused exploits or loopholes or anything. Never did the glitches going around in Battlefield 6 currently and my husband and I despise those that do. Our friend group has a zero tolerance policy of engaging with or anything whatsoever to do with cheating, macros, anything of the sort. I have a 0.2 KD and only play just to have fun with my husband. I run around and knife people and play like a complete goofball most of the time because that's how we have fun. Jeep stuff is my life.
I've played every single Battlefield game with my husband for over a decade on PC and he just set up a new PC for me with his hand-me-downs and a fresh install of Windows leading up to the BF6 beta and we finished the build maybe 2 or 3 months ago. I've never installed any software or macros or anything and I have just a few games and the utility-type software for GPU and whatever else is necessary and that's it. He's still able to play fine with our other friends and now they are all terrified of getting false banned for doing nothing.
He looked over my PC and checked every possible reason I could have been banned but I didn't do anything wrong and we came up empty-handed. We were playing mid-match on Cairo and just got booted with a ban email and notice shortly after. In the days before that happened my game would crash when loading to a new map from a completed game and then that cycle repeated all the time. My husband tried deleting and reinstalling the Nvidia drivers, clearing the shader cache and reinstalling the game completely and we thought it worked until it happened once yesterday and then the next game mid-match I was banned.
I am so upset that we can't play together and I feel like I'm missing out on the new season and content. I put in a ban appeal but it's been over 24 hours and I'm losing hope. I've seen horror story upon horror story of ban appeals being denied or ignored. I didn't deserve this and I don't understand why this is happening to me. Idk if it's a different person that should have been banned and they banned my account on accident or what but I'm left in the wind. I have zero bans in anything ever for almost 15 years and I truly am terrified that I'll not get to play and they took my money and I'll never get any sort of justice for what's happening.
I read that no one can really do anything here but I wanted to vent and let others know that false bans are indeed a thing and I'm currently living through it right now. If someone can at all escalate my issue I'll let EA look at my PC or take whatever logs or anything they need to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone going forward.
Thanks for reading and hopefully they get me back in soon. Also, if I knifed you and then dip-dip potato chipped you I'm sorry.

  • Did you use third party mouse macro to remove recoils? That can be detected when you’re reported because the patterns are static. Even those AI anti-recoil programs that change patterns can be detected.

  • I wish I could believe you but, if you were banned, it was probably because you were cheating using some form of software hack or hardware hack like Cronus Zen. Right now, the cheating is pretty out of control. Here is a screenshot I took today from a video posted 2 days ago AFTER the 10/28 patch.

    You guys are overly skeptical;
    I have run the OCE BF1 servers for 6 years now and I can confirm there are HUNDREDS of bans by EA to non-cheaters, currently perhaps monthly. Also, no evidence ever provided, and they reject all your appeals.

    This is based on Battlefield 1 obviously, and the community I run there (over 3,000 people in our discord currently). However I have heard numerous events of this happening in BF6, and would strongly suggest that EA has false detection going on.

    Even my seeders have been banned by EA at various different points, as accounts that don't even play or spawn in, with 0 kills, on a fresh windows install and with nothing functioning/installed on the laptop except BF. Perhaps it's their anticheat, but they're DEFINITELY stuffing up something. And the people, like above, posting this stuff are far too common; cheaters tend to know they cheated and rarely actually appeal like this - speaking from experience again as an admin of multiple BF6 servers for 6 years.

    EA is stuffing up.

  • Sorry my friend thats bad luck-i think ive seen ONE ban in bf6 appealed, anything your using may have tripped it for other games but it is what it is.

    Don't worry, you're not alone. There are a lot of people here and on the forum who have the same problem and the moderators have sorted them all out here in this post:

    After about 19 days of fighting, I got to the current state where I still have an "active" ban in the system, which was canceled and deleted on 10/23/2025, but I still won't join the game - even though I was officially unbanned.
    Unfortunately, I can't contact support in any way anymore. They probably blocked my IP address.
