FEEDBACK after 32 hours as recon.
I Have played roughly 60 hours total of closed weapons all out war and around 6 hours of domination.
I have mainly played as recon with 32 hours played and decided to share what I enjoy about the class and what I think needs improving.
So the good, The tugs is a fantastic gadget that let's you monitor enemy movements so you can stay hidden or ambush them.
The drone is good for scouting an objective for threats, have not used it much though.
I'm glad recon can use carbines as they seem to fit better for my playstyle better than snipers.
The claymore has saved me alot of times.
The auto spot from the default spec is incredibly good.
OK now what I think needs improving.
Sniperifles are too easy to use, I am traditionally bad at sniping but in bf6 I find it easy, this is not because I have suddenly become good but because the auto range finder is broken.
The c4 is fun but really really weak, you blow 3 sticks at someone's feet and get enemy suppressed, it needs a buff to blast radius and damage.
I think recon needs something to disable spotting for a very short period with a very large cool down, this would help them infiltrate better.
The proxy ball is good but I think you should be able to pick it up so you can throw it again if you need to.
I missed the spawn beacon massively.
Spec Ops needs the carbine as its signature weapon, stop assuming all recon can do is snipe.
Stealth is horrible, you can't be stealthy, you run suppressor, no lasers, duck walk and the enemies still know exactly which corner to knee slide around to death stare you to the spawn screen, even when you do manage to sneak behind someone it ends in frustration (more on that later).
OK not quite recon related feedback.
Domination is fun and actually slower pace than conquest as long as you don't run around too much.
Engineer is my second most played class with around 12 hours played, I found the class fun to play, the stinger isn't very useful as aircraft get flairs back quicker than the reload, I was struggling to find any reliable launcher to take out painted targets.
I have played a bit in vehicles mainly mbt and ifv, I have them both at 10 mastery.
They are a bit weak against infantry, as with all explosives in this game unless you get a direct hit on infantry even with canister or high explosive round they will live.
I tried to play some breakthrough for the engineer skin, that was one of the worst gaming experiences of my life, its too much, you can't move, you move you die.
The health regeneration is too much too quickly, I know you can use ammunition that delays it but still, we got some miraculous recoveries going on, you get in a gunfight, you both trade shots and take cover to reload and by the time you pop your head back up you are both back at full health.
OK, my biggest gripe.
Takedowns.....
Trying to do a takdown is an exercise of pure frustration.
Unless you are quite literally hugging the back of an enemies head takedowns do not work.
Why can you not do a takedown on crouched enemies?
This gets infuriating when you sneak in behind an enemy and go in for the kill and they turn slightly as you get to them and you slash them.
The maps are too narrow, the big maps anyway, they need more room out wide to allow flanks and to stretch the fighting out a bit instead of it been congested.
The net code needs sorting, too often there are times when someone just looks at you and you die, I could understand if these were shotgun wielding adrenaline junkies but they were full auto guns.
Attachments need fixing, nothing should completely remove recoil, reduce it yes, but turn a gun into a laser, no.
Stats, please give us more detailed stats, the current stats are not enough, I should not have to go to a 3rd party website to see detailed stats.
All explosives are weak, its almost like you were afraid to scare off the new players who just run and gun you were trying to attract.
Overall I'm enjoying the game but the takedown issue keeps nagging at me.
Thats my feedback so far.
