Feedback and Missing Features

Before I get into the feedback, I want to say that I’m genuinely loving the launch so far. The foundation feels solid, and I’m excited for where Battlefield is heading. Shoutout to the devs for the great start.

That said, there are some very basic features missing at launch that really surprised me, and I’m shocked they are still missing after Season 1. These features were core parts of previous Battlefield games. Here are the main ones I’ve noticed:

1. Request Orders Button Missing
   A lot of squad leaders in BF6 don’t seem to realize they are squad leader, so they never place objectives or orders. In older titles, you could request an order and, if the squad leader didn’t respond, leadership would transfer to you. That system kept squads organized. Why was it removed?
2. Toggle Minimap Size
   Being able to quickly change the minimap zoom with a key (like the old N key) was extremely useful for situational awareness. Having to dig through menus mid-match feels clunky.
3. Attack Chopper Gunner Locked to Squadmates Only
   This one drives me crazy. I thought it was a bug at first, but it seems intentional. TheFalchionis the only vehicle where players cannot spawn into the gunner seat unless the pilot is in their squad. The result is a lot of empty gunner seats because only three people on the entire team can spawn in. It feels unfair and wasteful. Why lock the rest of the team out?
4. No List of Squadmates to Spawn On
   It can get really difficult to select the correct squadmate when multiple teammates and beacons are stacked on top of each other on the map. What happened to the simple list of squadmates you could click on to spawn? That system was much easier and more precise. Taking this even further, having beacons listed next to squadmates would work wonders as well.
