BF6 Suggestions: Reward Teamwork + Cross-Squad Support
Task Organization:
All teams working on gameplay, user interface, scoring, and game balance.
Situation
Battlefield 6 often feels like it’s missing real teamwork. Players choose classes like Assault, Support, Engineer, or Recon, but the game rarely rewards them for actually doing what those classes are supposed to do. It is also hard to help teammates who are on the same team but in a different squad. For example, medics can’t easily see downed players on other squads, and support players can’t easily tell who needs ammo across the whole team.
Note: We are using Conquest as the main example, but these changes should apply to every game mode (Rush, Breakthrough, Domination, etc.).
Mission
Add a new Teamwork and Role Mastery system to all game modes. The goal is to reward players for playing their class correctly, make it natural and easy to help the entire team (not just your own squad) with healing, ammo, repairs, and spotting, and connect good teamwork to winning — all while keeping the fast, exciting combined-arms battles.
Execution
Commander’s Intent:
We want players to clearly feel and see that teamwork and doing your role well actually matter. By the end, helping the entire team — not just the people in your squad — with healing, ammo, repairs, and spotting should feel natural and easy. Good teamwork should visibly help the team win.
Key Tasks:
Team-wide Role Performance Rewards (All Modes)
- Track how well each player does their class/role and create a Team Role Synergy Score for the whole team (NATO or PAK).
- Use simple stats like heals, revives, ammo given, enemy spots, and vehicle repairs.
- Higher synergy makes the team stronger and improves win conditions.
Improve Cross-Squad Support (All Modes)
- Add clear team-wide icons, minimap highlights, and suggestions that show any teammate on the same team who needs help — even if they are in a different squad.
- Make helping the entire team (not just your squad) with healing, ammo, repairs, and spotting feel natural and easy by default.
Link Role Performance to Winning + Combined Arms Strength (All Modes)
- When the team has a high Synergy Score, it helps win conditions. In Conquest, good synergy slows down how fast your team loses lives. When the team also controls more objectives and works together well, it makes the enemy lose lives even faster because the whole team is performing their roles effectively.
- Add a Combined Arms / Task Force Strength bonus that rewards balanced teamwork across infantry, vehicles, and air support.
- Use similar helpful effects in every other mode (faster objective progress, better resources, etc.).
Individual Role and Teamwork Score (All Modes)
- Show a clear Role Performance Score after each round. It includes Role Mastery (how well you did your class) and Team Contribution (heals, revives, ammo given, etc. to the entire team, not just your squad).
- Display this on the scoreboard or end-of-round screen in every mode.
Coordinating Instructions:
- Apply these changes to every game mode.
- Helping the entire team (not just your squad) with healing, ammo, repairs, and spotting must feel natural and easy by default.
- Keep the game fun for skilled solo players.
- Make sure players can clearly see that helping the whole team makes a real difference.
Administration & Logistics
Not applicable — development time and resources will be set by team leads.
Command & Signal
- Main point of contact: Gameplay Systems and Balance teams.
- Gather feedback through playtests and track how often players use roles and help teammates.
This system will make Battlefield 6 feel like a real combined-arms team game again, while still letting skilled players shine. Doing your role well and helping the entire team should clearly help your side win, whether you are on NATO or PAK.
