Feedback on barrel pros and cons

Anyone who’s spent any time being paid to shoot assault rifles and the like knows how important the choice of barrels is. While I DO like what DICE has opted for in the gains on the heavy extended barrels, I do think there is something else that needs to be addressed about increasing the velocity of your rounds - the damage scale tier needs to be pushed out based on the additional barrel length, I’m not saying anything super dramatic, but it’s well known that a faster bullet generally does more damage at longer ranges.  

AND IN THE SPIRIT OF FAIRNESS - going with a “short” or CQB style barrel, the opposite should also true - HOWEVER - a lighter/shorter barrel means your ADS speed should be fairly well increased, and I think players would greatly love having true CQB speed for those load outs, but also know damned well if they end up in a huge open area, their shortened MP5 doesn’t really do a lot for them. 
Just my two cents, but it does seem like kind of a no brainer. Thoughts?
