It's not (only) the netcode. It's the **bleep** palystation handshake and session-sync, the rest of us have to wait for their servers to reply to the handshake. If you turn the crossplay off the game feels better, sadly on PC you cant do that in game you have to modify config files and that give s you low populated lobbies with tons of bots.
I think you are right in terms of turning crossplay off as I had it on today and playing against PC players it was terrible, I had to stop before I broke things. I wish there was a choice for crossplay in which console players could pick console only because turning off crossplay to only play fellow xbox players leads to long server lobby wait times. Wish we could choose crossplay for all consoles instead.
