An even easier fix would have been to simply have all unlocks/achievements available in portal modes by default with no carry over to main PVP modes. There would have been no need for progression or XP gain in the portal modes at that point. Take away the incentive to grind in bot farms and the issue solves itself. This also solves the complaint from Dice/EA that bot/xp farm lobbies were clogging up portal server hosting space.
