Gauntlet
Battlefield 6 has officially lost a player.
I’ve been here since the beta and launch. I was genuinely excited for this game and had high hopes for what it could become. For four seasons, I put up with the constant bugs, netcode issues, and frustrating gameplay problems. Despite all of that, I still logged in almost every day because I enjoyed playing with my friends.
Now, Season 5 arrives, and my first impression? Completely unimpressed.
Removing a mode that people genuinely enjoyed and replacing it with modes we already had is a slap in the face to the players who supported this game from the beginning. I don't enjoy Battle Royale, Conquest, or Breakthrough. Yet those are my options if I want to keep playing. What happened to giving players choices instead of taking away the modes that kept them coming back?
I'm Rank 784. I preordered this game, bought battle passes, and spent additional money because I believed in what you were building. I found a mode I loved, invested my time and money, and now that experience has been taken away. Why should I keep spending money on a game when the developers can pull the rug out from under the very players who supported it?
At this point, I want my money back. I paid for a game I was excited to play, only to watch it move further away from what made me want to play in the first place.
If the goal was to frustrate the loyal player base and drive people away, congratulations. You're doing a great job.
Down 18.3%. Is anyone wondering why? Maybe start listening to the players who have been here since day one. We're the ones who supported this game, put up with its problems, and kept showing up despite the frustration.
You don't build a loyal community by taking away what people love. You build one by listening, fixing the problems, and respecting the time and money your players have invested.
Battlefield had the potential to be something great. It's disappointing to see decisions like these push loyal players out the door.
One less player. One less reason to keep investing. And one more person who has finally had enough.
