Something needs to be done about mortar spam on small-to-medium maps. People are just camping in their spawn all day, raining bombs on our heads without ever leaving their base. Mortars either need to be removed completely or get a heavy nerf. At the very least, DICE should disable placing mortars inside the uncap/spawn area.
Just counter mortar them. Deploy, aim, fire 3 times and pick up your mortar again. Usually this will destroy their mortar and supply bag and gives your team a time out of enemy mortar fire. Keep doing this and eventually they will give up is my experience.
Mortars are useless. Only way to die from one is if it falls directly on your head. their splash damage is lower than a fire cracker. if you move around its virtually imposable to die from one because of their hang time. I suggest you stop camping and move once a round falls near you.
