why is this such a hard thing to do? why won't DICE do this? we need answers.
I am disgusted with all the insta kills I get from console players. add the trash hit detection, and this game is near unplayable. I guess DICE doesn't want us to buy any future games from them.

Console players: Consoles are just as good as PC gaming! We can even upgrade graphics cards, and add accessories like keyboards!

It's even more insane that console players come here to complain they can't get away from PC players.
Crazy how both parties want the same thing but EA just ignores us and glazes themselves every community update.
I tried a couple games yesterday. I don't know how the game or EA detects what players are using, I assume OS/hardware, but my games were dominated by players with controller logos on the scoreboard. I think there were 3 PC players not including me. And of course some aim-assist crutch absolutely dominated the matches with ridiculous KDR.
Controllers have ruined this game, just as many of us expected.

You do realize the PC version also supports controller ya? Turning off crossplay would be pointless as all it would do is make it take even longer for you to find a game. AA isn't even strong in this game and you'd be finding something else to whine about why you got outplayed even if they did remove controller support.

for those of you following along at home, the correct answer is no. this is due to the nonexistent hit detection and trash netcode, coupled with a desync between console and PC players. it has absolutely nothing to do with skill.
Battlefield 6 was built with the intention of catering to Controller players on Console. Dice seems to think that's where their market is.
They don't care about mouse players, and they definitely don't care about PC players. I haven't played this Slop in months, and I honestly don't miss it at all. Someone will come on here ever so often saying "we hear you", but they'll never do anything meaningful to improve the game. This has been going on for years. In 2042, the aim assist was a literal aimbot, and roller players would still complain they couldn't feel the assist. That game literally did 90% of the aiming for you. If they cared in the slightest about actual PC players, that would never been released like that.
I'm mad because Battlefield was once my favorite franchise, but it's dead. The people currently running Dice don't care about anything besides chasing trends and getting quick sales. The beta showed there's a huge interest in the formula, and BF should be locked into the top 10 on Steam at all times, but Dice doesn't understand the appeal of their own game anymore. They truly don't get it. They're not actual gamers, just testers at best to make sure their code functions.

No it didn't lol. For the majority of 2042's existence, aim assist was straight up broken/bugged and inconsistent and didn't work 99% of the time.

After reading that list, If you don't think the game is doing the majority of the aiming for controller players, you are incapable of having an honest conversation. This is why I say there's no middle ground with people like you, because there isn't. How is giving only one input all those advantages, anyone of them alone being a huge benefit, how is that remotely fair? It's not is the only real answer.
They have increased aim assist since release. It is massively stronger than it was in previous titles. Guess they don't care about the majority of their buyers
Saying that, the desync / hit reg is by far the biggest issue this game has. This can affect just certain players in a game and it is game breaking.

No they didn't... If anything the slow down at launch was so strong it actively hurt you as a controller player. They changed it back to how it was in the beta in a later patch, which effectively nerfed AA and made it much much weaker, but created smoother controller gameplay. AA right now as it is, it is not strong at all. Its a tiny bubble that slows your aim when you get close to a enemy and it barely slows down.
This new road-map is worthless for PC players FORCED to play with de-sync aim-assist console players. Totally ruins the experience with these CHEESE deaths and I won't ever buy another BF until they allow PC players to turn off Cross-Play.
Just played this game:
Console players were literally head-shotting opponents with LMG's through smoke, flying around corners and quad-head tapping people with perfect aim.
This game has turned into a console auto-aim JOKE. Funny how people with the worst controller type imaginable for a first person shooter are regularly topping the scoreboards with PC players in the game.
I can play the screenshot game too. It's not hard to do that on KBM as well.
PC supports controller. PC also has aim assist. They are never going to remove crossplay because there's no point other then simply nuking matchmaking times into oblivion.

lol, how is a skill issue when I can get the drop on a console player, get 5+ hitmarkers on them before they turn and insta kill me, and still have 100% health? Please, Please, explain how this is skill related.
ive not recieved the full game as consoles have the option to turn off xplay and pc doesnt so its grounds for a refund
