Controllers should not have soft aimbot. Remove it from the game. Every console can use MNK. If they want to use a controller fine, but they don't get soft aimbot. That will also make it far easier to ban people using soft aimbot programs and devices like cronus. Unless you think your players are too stupid to play on their own EA?
"helping controllers stay competitive" - that can never work in practice. If you balance controllers statistically, actual engagements will feel way off, and they do. There is no real or fare way to balance it because what you are doing to help them is giving them cheats. They have a computer helping them get kills. M&K don't have that, everything they do must be skill based (or at least actioned) If an MK player doesn't see someone, they don't shoot, a controller player can sweep or fire even when they don't know if someone is there, and they will get a kill.
I'd like to see readouts of the aim-assist vectors along with input vectors and see some spectated engagements of those recorded encounters. We would love to know how much the aim-assist actually helps.
I've had way too many engagements with low level console players that feel completely wrong to think that the aim-assist isn't just a hack. I just can't even believe that a game developer wouldn't understand how it's just cheating.
I think your confusing aim assist with the actual aim bots people are using all this bs consoles can't cheat they've been using aim bot for decade plus on cod so why not now when they systems are more versatile than ever I can't sweep and get a kill hell.lately im getting 5 or 6 headshots before the people die and that's with the sor 300sc with a damage of 33 even with the AK 205 im im having to fight with everything I got to get a headshot and its one the most accurate full autos in the game so if that's really happening to u its not aim assist
