Give spawn beacon back to recon?

I feel like "assault" didnt really have a important function because its based on just getting kills and pushing forward which arguably any class can do, just without the extra weapon and stims. So they gave assault a function fron recon to keep pushing forward but now I barely see people use it, or if its used its done really poorly.

 I dont see whats wrong with the original Engineer (Vehicles), Medic (health/revives), Support (ammo/suppression) and Recon (intel/harrassment).

Ive also had the same ick when they made support the medic. Like why is my medic laying down suppressive fire with an LMG?! Whys doc gotta carry all the meds AND ammo? Medics should be proficient in carbines or smg's no? Or would that make them too powerful. Im sure this all falls to some balancing reason but what do you think?

    That's stupidest thing I heard. Last thing this game needs is making campers life easier.  Reacon class should remove all together. They just sit and care theyr k/d and contribute absolutely nothing. Selfish little sobs.

  • Yes we are selfish, instead of sitting on objectives we set motion sensors on the front while covering flanking positions to keep our allies from being flanked, giving up points is so selfish when on the front and on the Backline we selfishly cover your back so enemies won't flank or hit your rear while protecting the objectives already taken, because enemies are not smart enough to bypass the front line and take the back, we are such a selfish bunch spotting and marking vehicles despite the fact that doing our job gives away our position or render us vulnerable while using it

    Zaxoro3​ knuckledragger is one of the people who wants to keep this change and leave beacon with assault. Also the TUGS isnt that game-changing in my opinion but its on par with how useful the stim injector is I guess

    Everyone is able to have an opinion. I just think it is better for assault to carry it and place it in a spot for other infantry to spawn. If only recon carries it then 90% of the time its in a spot where infantry are left running a long way to get where they need to be.

    Cemetery makes a decent point but not all snipers do thatl, I rarely ever see recon move forward to place sensors down to benefit the others. If you do it that's great but you're in the minority of recons that do.

  • To be fair only experienced snipers can do it and most of the time it leads to your death with the current game pace. Also recon is a contradiction as you are either forced to play long range or lose 50% effectiveness even before the game starts, from then its up to your skill to make a difference and most of the things you can do are situational which leads to new recon players to go for the camping play style. 

    Honestly I don't mind assault getting it but the implementation they have for most classes is terrible: If they are giving assault the becon make it their focus and probably add a path that focuses on leadership,  I would like assault to be the only class that all classes are able to spawn to. This would allow them to capitalize in positioning, advancing, and infiltrating squads

    Recon needs to swap its signature set with sniper path skills so that specs ops won't be a contradiction. TUGs are more of a spec ops gadget, they should give recon either the drone or laser designator as signature gadget as it would benefit both paths. Personally I would like the laser designator. I also would love to have the smokes back as I would usually use them to support the medics or retreat once I have pissed off enough enemy vehicles
