Personally I would like them to just make the becon, assaults signature gadget instead of the injector and make his ability "drill sergeant" boost on reload, cooldown for weapons and gadgets on nearby allies
Suggest to fuse frontliner and breacher for a more solid class and add squad leader as the second path so its more in line with it

That sounds about right. Turning the spawn beacon into his ability is indeed an interesting idea. By "ability," do you mean one of the Squad Upgrade steps? That also sounds like a good approach.
However, if you move the beacon to his signature gadget, wouldn’t he need another gadget to fill the empty slot? I wouldn’t want him to lose any value, so removing the stim would need to be balanced by adding something else?!
