I feel like I get the most out of the kit, but I never run a sniper rifle.
I think Spawn Beacon does belong on Assault, but as the class gadget. The push forward, forward spawn point(our Assault player is usually in combat, so can't spawn on him).
The assault is going to assault, not sneak around for to set up an entry point for a flank. That is the job of the sneaky recon and their beacon. It is also the job of the other subclass of the recon.
I disagree in part. I think the Assault can make good use of the Spawn Beacon, it just might not be in a sneaky flank position. Capture a point, drop one down close to point in case you need to get back if they capture it. About to charge a position, put one down in cover.
At least that's how we've been using it.
Snipers seem to abuse them, using them to camp up a mountain or in some exploit area they aren't supposed to be. Other classes aren't good with sniper rifles now(as far as i heard), so that solves the sniper rifle/beacon issue that many people had.
However other non-sniper kits of the Recon maybe should get it, but not be good with sniper rifles - personally I'd love that. Those would be the sneaky sort that get flank position for their beacon, and then close in with their squad.
Unfortunately it was very common that snipers were not using the beacon for the squad as intended, and I do think it fits in the Assault kit, but not only the Assault kit. Just not with a sniper rifle :)
