I think all explosives in this game could use a blast radius increase. Not a huge increase, but definitely requires something.
I have video of RPGs going off right next to an engineer's head (literally right next to it)...5 Points for Suppression. Second RPG goes right "through" the engineer's body, 70 damage.
Guy is shooting through window behind a wall. RPG the wall right where the person is standing. Wall crumbles...5 points Suppression. In previous BF titles, you would take out the wall and the guy immediately behind it; and best part, RPG's shape charge argument doesn't even make sense here, since the player is standing directly where the shape charge would expend its energy.
Grenades within a couple feet of the player...doesn't kill the player.
Grenade Launchers hitting the wall right above a player in a room...doesn't kill the player.
C4 having a horrible radius of like 2 feet; and let's not get into the fact that 3 C4 only works on tanks from like 2 angles now (directly behind and I think below the tank).
Only weapons I feel like have a good blast radius at this time are the AT mines (since they are triggered by proximity and/or targeted explosives) and the claymore (though claymore in Redsec/Gauntlet is almost pointless because it doesn't do enough damage to kill with armor on). Though the mines now suffer due to the inability to stack them (which I also think is a dumb decision, for a variety of reasons), so they aren't spectacular in and of themselves.
Explosives in this game are pretty sad to be honest. Older battlefields had much better explosives and were much more fun to use them; to be honest, in older battlefields, I rarely died with explosive ammo remaining, now, I rarely use explosives, because if I have to score direct hits, it's just easier to shoot the person with my gun. The whole idea of forcing them out of cover, etc doesn't work when they aren't dangerous outside of within 2 feet.
