Feedback and Suggestions for Battlefield

Hello to the Battlefield development team and the community,

After spending several hours in Battlefield 6, I wanted to share some focused feedback that could, in my opinion, further strengthen Battlefield’s identity and the long-term player experience.

BF6 has a solid foundation, but some key elements from previous titles (BF3, BF4, BFV) could make a return in order to create truly memorable moments.

1. Iconic Battlefield Moments

Battlefield has always stood out for its spectacular and dynamic moments, especially in BF3 and BF4. Battlefield 6 could benefit greatly from the return of:

AC-130, as seen in BF3 and BF4, to add real strategic depth

Vehicle air drops, similar to BF3

Bombers, comparable to those in BF4, for air-to-ground support

Amphibious assault maps inspired by Kharg Island (BF3)

Light events such as intro bombardments, partial destruction, or large-scale visual effects in the background would already make maps feel more alive without negatively impacting gameplay.

2. Vehicle vs Infantry Balance (Classes and C4)

At the moment, Engineers are the only consistent counter to vehicles, which makes engagements feel predictable.

Giving C4 back to the Support class, as in BF3 and BF4, would:

Provide infantry with more tactical options

Improve vehicle vs infantry balance

Create more dynamic engagements

Engineers would remain the primary anti-vehicle class, while Support would act as a situational threat without replacing any role.

3. More Impactful Battle Pickups With Rewards

Battle Pickups are a good concept, but their current impact feels limited.

They should be unique to each map and offer iconic, high-risk / high-reward weapons already proven in previous titles:

RAWR, M32 MGL, AMR-2, Rorsch MK-1, Phantom Bow – BF4

Crossbow – BF3

Nail Gun – BF Hardline

Katana, Flamethrower – BFV

Tying them to long-term progression would make them far more engaging:

Exclusive camos, Dog tags, Badges, Profile customization items

This would turn Battle Pickups into real objectives rather than temporary curiosities.

4. Official Hardcore Playlists

Bringing back official Hardcore playlists (Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush), like in BF3 and BF4, would offer a meaningful alternative playstyle:

More realistic TTK

Reduced HUD

Friendly fire enabled

Greater emphasis on positioning and teamwork

BF6’s current gunplay would work extremely well in a Hardcore environment.

5. Operations Mode (Modernized)

Finally, the return of Operations, adapted to a modern setting, would significantly improve immersion by linking multiple battles together.

Example:

Operation Metro → Seine Crossing

This format would bring back a true campaign-like experience that is currently missing from isolated Breakthrough matches.

Conclusion

These adjustments would allow Battlefield 6 to strengthen its core DNA — immersion, scale, and memorable moments — while remaining modern.

They would also let long-time veterans reconnect with what defined the franchise, while allowing new players to discover iconic elements from past Battlefield titles they never had the chance to experience.

Thank you for your work and for listening to the community.

Greater emphasis on positioning and teamwork (Yes more so ONLY for squad work for extra xp ie: capping together, repairing squamates vehicles, heals/revives/ammo) and more so knowing what squads are going to what flags to cap so not flooding one area.

Thanks for the breakdown — I agree with several points, but some things deserve reconsideration based on what historically made Battlefield strong.

AC-130 and more impactful Battle Pickups are a great idea. Battlefield shines when it creates memorable and cinematic moments.

Regarding air support like airdrops and bombers, in BF3 and BF4 these never negatively impacted balance when properly implemented. On the contrary, they added immersion, strengthened the combined arms gameplay, and created unique Battlefield moments.

Bringing C4 back to the Support class would also be positive in my opinion. In BF3/BF4 it helped balance vehicles vs infantry while giving players more tactical options and creating memorable destruction moments.

I’m not talking about reducing the HUD in normal modes — there may have been a misunderstanding. What I’m suggesting instead is the return of official hardcore servers, like in previous Battlefield games, offering a more tactical experience without affecting the main gameplay experience.

Ultimately, Battlefield’s strength has always been its diversity of playstyles, modes, and sandbox possibilities.
