Hello... and goodbye!
If it were ever going to change, you would’ve done it already, right?
This is the last time I let myself get screwed over by EA without lube.
You could so easily make everyone happy… and you actually did — for three days! Yeah, for three days I thought, “Finally, we’ve got our good old Battlefield back.”
Everyone was happy: the arcade-competitive players had access to CoD-like servers, and those of us who prefer more realistic, tactical challenges (and I don’t know… having a chance to enjoy the great mechanics this game has to offer??) had the hardcore servers.
Everyone was satisfied — so why the hell change that?!!!
I decided to buy this game hoping you’d keep your promises, not to play while staring at a minimap, with a **bleep** orange diamond floating above people’s heads like a Sims, dumping whole mags into hopping, sliding bullet sponges.
No official hardcore servers (for some obscure marketing reason) = we’re forced to find servers through the Portal — which half the people don’t even know exists — and now they’re deserted because of the XP nerf.
At least you have the decency not to pretend it wasn’t deliberate.
You could choose to respect all your players by giving them gameplay options that fit their style and letting them rediscover the fun of playing one of your games. But no — once again, you just s*** all over us five minutes after cashing our $70.
It’s been like this for over 10 years. I don’t even know what I was expecting. This is the last time for me!
Anyway, I still want to tip my hat to the development teams who did an outstanding job — I’m sure many of you hate your management and those marketing parasites pulling the strings just as much as we do. Thank you — on paper, you’ve delivered one hell of a game!
