Helicopter/Jet Practise

Being an infantry/ground vehicle player mainly I have not touched any aerial vehicles at all but I would like to learn how to fly them in a "stress free" enviornment; read: I don't want to waste vehicles spawns in the offcial matchmaking learing when other good pilots could be winning the game for us. My question, has there been any mention by the devs of impleneting a firing range/training range area to learn this sort of stuff? or Is there a Portal expierece I can use to make a portal server to serve me this way?

I had tried creating one such portal server myself but it can't be done as far as I can tell.
