brother I've played almost all the bf's since bf2, and this game and movement is the same engine and still feels like a battlefield game. i'm not sure what you mean? They also listened to suggestions apparently and added server browser recently. although it doesn't help when the only people hosting servers are not competitive gamers, meaning they want fair play and competitive matchups.
No bro… there is NO SERVER BROWSER FOR ….CORE GAME MODES… because there is no map rotation like we see in all previous BF games up until 2042.
The server browser only exists for PORTAL.
The portal browser is Not the same thing as the server browsers in BF1, BFV, and BF4 that allow me to find a full lobby of HUMAN BEINGs playing core game modes this very minute.

Verified mode servers are the core game modes. They can be found using the server browser. Unless people get creative about pushing the limits of what is allowed to still be attributed as "verified mode", they play identical to any other "core game server" except that you can search for them, know their ping ahead of time, know how many people are in the server ahead of time, don't need to matchmake after each round, won't randomly play the same maps or attacker/defender over and over, and won't have your party or server population broken up after every round.
If your definition of "core game mode" is "you have to use matchmaking", I would say that is a choice. A crappy choice that has all the problems people complain about. Try choosing the alternative. The more people who do, the more you will have to choose from. The more you have to choose from, the less you will complain.
Right now, in Central America, I see 5 servers playing unmodified core game modes, that have 1-5 free slots, 12 more servers which are completely full, with a ping of 150 or less. Your options are probably better than mine.
Try it. Don't spread fud.

really? Cause everytime I tried the server browser, it was all weird game modes with bots and stuff. maybe it depends where you live, i'm in the north east usa. lol. Pretty sure we've all tried it brother. I'll try it again though maybe something has changed. But its definitely not showing the same servers that I play on when I select conquest or all out warfare lol. its likew super modified game modes. like hardcore with bots or something weird. air vehicle practice, and actually not a single normal conquest mode. I just figured hey its what the community likes. But now other guys are saying its not even possible to run the standard maps? Its some thing called portal which I don't even know what that is. I'm just a conquest player. And its not a very large list either for me. barely any servers on it.

The community server browser only displays a limited number of servers in a seemingly random order, when no filter is applied.
Click filter, click modes/maps, and select Rush, Conquest, and Breakthrough. Those are the only verified modes right now (plus BR Quads, if you're into that sort of thing). Once you apply that filter, all the garbage won't fill the list, and you will find what you are looking for. If your list is full of low-ping servers with low population, change the empty slots filter from 'for party' to '1-5' or '6-10', as you see fit. I am almost sure you will find at least one server that you will enjoy playing in. And as more people do, the more there will be populated servers to play in.
Portal is the web tool used to create community servers. What you see is the result of portal. A portal server is a community server made using portal. One in the same, but technically different. It's a community server made in portal, but not technically a portal browser. As you have seen, portal allows all sorts of different servers to be made. Some highly customized/weird, others very vanilla. The vanilla ones you are looking for are there too. You just need to filter for the results you want to find.
