HOTAS
GUYS!!! tried to set my "logitech xtreme 3d pro" to work properly, used x360ce for map the joystick. BUT!! found that you can map it manualy INGAME without need of 3rd party soft for this purpose!!...
Hey there - glad you were able to find an in-game solution with your hardware. From what I've been able to gather there is some limited joycon support, which you seem to be successfully making use of: single usb device, with a limited number of inputs.
That limited support is appreciated, but, for individuals who want to be able to use a separate flight stick and throttle (and even potentially rudder pedals) that each have their own USB cables - this is still a bit of an issue. I'm going to give it another shot when I have a chance, but, I also was having a problem where inputs on my flight stick were being recognized in some capacity, but they weren't binding to controls properly in the Joystick settings. Meaning: pushing buttons causes things to happen in the UI, but nothing actually registers in that joystick control bind menu. I think I had read in another thread that if a device has more than some set number of axis inputs, the game reads it as a gamepad and not a joystick, which locks it out of keybinding. I could be wrong about that, but in any case - I personally still have not been able to get this to work properly with the settings currently available in-game.
Even if I am able to get just the flight stick itself working with what's available in the menus (which would be a start) - the button layout on mine doesn't really lend itself to full-vehicle control. I'm not sure how I could account for jet throttle / helicopter collective in an intuitive way.
Hi Nackerman1208, i think it should work with any HOTAS (which should be displayed, type win+R and type joy.cpl, it will show all of the game controllers), just give it a shot, hopefully it will work for you :)
