How to fix match making.

The Solution: Team-Play Score Matchmaking (TPSM)

Instead of tracking purely combat-driven data, the matchmaking system should group players based on their Objective and Support Metrics. The data already exists in the post-match telemetry.

The system should weigh the following actions heavily:

Objective Contribution: Flag/sector captures, neutralizations, and defense time.

Squad Support: Revives, health/ammo resupplies, and squad spawn-ins on your position.

Tactical Assistance: Spotting, vehicle repairs, and suppression assists.

How It Benefits the Community

Creates High-Quality Matches:

Players who naturally play the objective will be matched together. This results in highly intense, tactical, and balanced games where everyone is fighting for the win.

Naturally Segregates Playstyles:

Players who prefer to ignore objectives to sit back and snipe or hunt solo kills will be grouped with like-minded individuals. They can play their preferred style without disrupting the core, team-focused Battlefield experience.

No Negative Disruptions: Casual or solo-focused players will not feel a negative difference in their lobbies, while team players will see a massive upgrade in match satisfaction.

Conclusion

Battlefield is at its best when squads work together. By basing matchmaking on team-oriented data rather than K/D, Battlefield 6 can foster a more cooperative community and deliver the definitive sandbox experience fans have been craving.
