I feels like I’m playing with AI

Honestly, BF6 sometimes feels like I’m stuck in "The Truman Show"

Teammates? Nah, they don’t revive. They dont join into your helli. You try to spawn on a buddy.. nope, “in combat” 24/7. You peek out for a sec and boom, someone just appears outta nowhere, like they teleported or smth. And when someone’s firing you from across the **bleep** map, every bullet magically finds you. Like you’re the only dude lit up on the radar. You are alwayw in focus! Ill trying to go into another side of the map... and boom, a lot of people start pushing this point! Guys, sometimes just look back, where you see your teammates, and they disappear!

It’s wild. You’re chillin in a bush, not movin for like 1 min, and somehow they still find you. Ill check it. Constantly. You hop in a vehicle? Congrats, now the whole map’s got all that they have against you. But enemy tanks? They just cruise around like it’s Sunday brunch. Mines spawn outta thin air. And aircraft? Bro. Don’t even get me started. That’s a whole other horror movie. I dont say it happens in each game, but it happans pretty often.

Why’s it feel like "The Truman Show" tho?

Cuz it’s like the game’s built around you. Like half the lobby’s AI, half real players, and the whole thing’s just... off. You’re not fighting people, you’re fighting some weird hive-mind system that’s got eyes everywhere. It feels weird for me. So Im interested whay about you?

  • Believe... bots are better than the competitive players! They just want K/D, not play the game!! But anyway, since EA removed the bots, you can ask for a refund anytime you want! The EULA is not above the CDC, so feel free to ask your money back!

I like this game, I don't need a refund. Just waiting for some fixing and enjoying the game. Hope I'm really wrong and need just time to figure out all mechanics and in-game features

  • Yeah it doesn't really feel like Battlefield. EA/DICE don't know what Battlefield is.

They got in a CoD exec to run it. What do we expect I suppose, except they told us it would be a 'return to form' and 'grounded in realism' but more recently they talk about things like wanting a time-to-engage less than 10 seconds, ie. you should never get more than 10 seconds without being shot at (and it's usually almost constant).

No time to be tactical and thoughtful. Just run around like headless chickens and hope you hit the trigger first and lag doesn't interfere.

Battlefield was always a compromise between milsim and arcade. It straddled the middle-ground beautifully...

Then they tried to make BF5 a battle royale (it started development that way) and messed it up.

Then they tried to make BF2042 a hero shooter and messed it up.

This time they've tried to steal the CoD audience. I know it's not just like CoD, but it's clear they've done their best to make CoD players very comfy and welcome and it is at the expense of what franchise fans would actually want.

The Battlefield franchise died after BF1. I had some hope that BF6 would be good, but it's turning out to be fundamentally flawed and a lot of that is by design that won't change because it's what EA/DICE want.

I’m not entirely sure here, but I really enjoy the battle royale mode. The main issues for me are the sound design and the map being overloaded with small flying clutter that could easily be removed, as well as the low tick rate - it would be great to increase it from 30 to 60.

I can see that DICE is doing an excellent job and clearly moving in the right direction, I’ve become a fan of the game. I’m just sharing my thoughts here in the hope that the developers might see them. The only thing that truly bothers me at this stage is the audio and the poor hit registration.

Other aspects, like the feeling that I’m sometimes playing against AI, are probably just something I need to get used to — part of the game’s mechanics.

I love CoD, but lately I’ve been spending more time in Battlefield because CoD has really gone downhill, and the new Battlefield brought back that teenage sense of excitement from playing. And I hope that Battlefield’s battle royale will become the game that takes over all my free time :)
