I got banned for "gameplay enhancement"

Just today I woke up to play some battlefield before I learned my account has been banned.

I already went to appeal it, but I'm still waiting for a response.

Things I think might have caused this ban, an error in the game files, or someone falsely reporting me.

The reason it might be my game files is because I moved in to college and had to update battlefield 6 on my laptop, it got stuck at 98% and I had to clear my download cache 4 times, and the update size changed each time, from being around 17gb to 129gb, then eventually reinstalling the whole game.

The reason it might be that someone falsely reported me, is that the first, and last game I played since moving in was was a team deathmatch game, where I went 23 / 4 with a kdr of 5.75. on 08/22 the same day, I received the ban. When I logged on on 08/23 around 12pm I found out I was banned, and submitted an appeal within the hour, somehow the appeal date was at 8pm, witch was 8 hours into the future.

Another thing is the match I played yesterday, says I played it on the 23rd 5 hours ago, even though I was banned on the 22nd, wtf. How the hell could I have played the game AFTER I was banned, something is clearly wrong.

I'm sick of this "if they're better than me, they're cheaters" mentality, because it just cost me 60$ which I most likely won't be getting back. I have several hours worth of recordings of my gameplay and playstyle and it certainly isn't cheating.

My account stats is here: https://tracker.gg/bf6/profile/1011725395256/overview

My steam profile name is Snever

I have over 960 hours in this game, and I value every second I spent on it, because playing it helped me get away from the nightmare at that time of my life.

I know there will be people commenting "oh that's what a cheater would say" or "you're a cheater and you're just lying."

You can take my words with less than a grain of salt, but people like me aren't cheaters, and false bans do happen, and they certainly shouldn't be dismissed.

I do not preform glitches, I do not hack, and I do not exploit. Even if a glitch seems like dumb fun, I don't participate in it, if I want to have some dumb fun I'll play helldivers 2

What Triggers a "Gameplay Enhancement" Ban

    • Modifications & Macros: Using programmable mouse/keyboard macros, rapid-fire trigger stops, or customised third-party controller software.
    • Conflicting Software: Background apps like other kernel-level anti-cheats (e.g., Riot Vanguard), custom overlay tools, or RGB/peripheral managers colliding with EA’s detection system.
    • False Positives: Automated sweeps occasionally misidentify normal high-skill gameplay or standard background utilities as unauthorised enhancements.

    How to Appeal the Ban

Check Penalty History: Log in to your profile via EA Help and navigate to the Penalty History tool to see the official status and details of the block.

Submit an Appeal: File a dispute directly next to the active sanction in your EA Help portal. Keep in mind that responses from the Terms of Service team can take time, though successful appeals do result in sanctions being reversed.

  • A "false" report is not a thing, if someone reports you maliciously you will only get banned if you actually broke the rules.

I do have a Gaomon tablet plugged in along with the Gaomon and Huion tablet drivers installed and running for when I play osu. As well as Logitech GHUB open so I can disable the lighting on my mouse and disable the dpi shift buttons because it's annoying when I accidentally press them when playing games. I also set all the "steamwebhelper" and connected background processes to high priority so the game would update faster, I left them on high priority ever since.

    Would that have affected anything?

Even so, those are enabled on startup and have been in the background for as long as I've been playing battlefield 6 with no problems.

Oh okay, that would rule out the false report assumption

Yep. Right there. TOS states to disable 3 party softwares or risk a ban.

Ridiculous. I’ve used a Logitech or Razer gamepad and software for every BF title for a decade plus. These are not the problem.

Macros for these pads or mice that auto-pull the trigger, or LUA programming mods for mice that compensate for recoil by pulling down steadily absolutely are being looked at and will get you a ban because these are the same mods that Cronus and the rest use to “cheat” when coupled with aim assist.

I appealed my ban and it's been stuck on pending since MAY. Anytime I try to message them they say "just keep waiting, our team is reviewing. We know the average time is 10 days but don't worry, we will get to you soon"

good luck ever getting a response
