Incoming hit sound is way too loud
I have a few things I'd really like to see adjusted
1. The hit sound when I get shot is way too loud, and I don’t understand why there’s this weird “slap” sound at the end of it. I’m getting hit by bullets, so why does it sound like someone is slapping my face? One of Battlefield’s biggest strengths (compared to typical 5v5 competitive shooters) is that there’s no ranked mode and dying in-game usually feels less frustrating, so the game is less stressful. But because of this “slap in the face” hit sound effect, dying in Battlefield 6 feels a lot more annoying than in previous Battlefield titles.
On the other side, sometimes when I kill an enemy, one of the hit indicator sounds I get is this whip crack sound. That also just sounds ridiculous and irritating.
I also don’t understand why the hit sound on getting shot is mixed so loud — in many cases it’s even louder than most gunfire in the match. It’s honestly unpleasant.
I’m begging you to please remove the slap-like sound effect completely, and also please give us an independent volume slider for incoming hit sounds 0–100. This one audio choice alone makes me not want to play.
2. Why are you forcing depth of field while ADS in a PvP FPS, with no option to turn it off? I really don’t understand why there isn’t a setting for this. It should absolutely be toggleable.
3. On the deploy screen, in previous Battlefield games, if I hovered over a squadmate, the cursor would stay locked to that squadmate even if they moved on the map, so I could easily follow them. In Battlefield 6, the cursor only stays attached for a moment and then it drops off unless I keep manually moving the mouse to chase them. This feels worse and less convenient.
4. In older Battlefield games, when you clicked deploy, the game smoothly transitioned from the deploy/map view into first-person with a sort of “pulled into the body” animation. That made it very easy to understand which direction I was facing as I spawned. I could look at the map, think “I’m going to push in from this angle” deploy, and I’d already be oriented the way I expected.
In Battlefield 6, as soon as I click deploy it just instantly throws me into first-person with no transition, and I need a moment to figure out where I’m actually facing. This slows me down and makes spawning feel disorienting. I’d really like to see the old style of spawn transition come back.
