I have not played every BF title, but I have played BF3, BF4 and recently BF2042. I played BF3 the most. The TTK in BF6 is pretty close.

Sounds to me like we played completely different betas then. Because this is not how I experienced the game. I believe most AR or Carbines needed 4-5 bullets to kill (not counting headshots). The damage fall off over longer ranges might have been a bit drastic, as it affect the TTK a lot if your target is further away, but that is to be expected. They said they already tuned / balanced that after the beta though.
I believe the developers said they have a lot of data on this and they are happy with the current TTK in the game.
