It is a very upsetting situation without knowledge of IT stuff. I had to explain to a friend of mine all the required steps, and that he needs to wipe all his safe boot keys to make amendments to his old motherboard. On mine, I was good to go with one click. Too much hassle to map all available Linux kernels with the OS update, every single time, pretty much.

Confirmed, this is a huge problem.
I'm one of those "odd people" that games on a Trinitron CRT monitor (and credit, where credit is due, I'm immensly pleased BF6 still boasts full support for 4:3 resolutions!), and I was very upset to discover the screensaver won't come on anymore.
Now, I'm not terribly fussed about potenial burn-in. But it results in unecessary wear on my CRT-display, which already has a very "finite" lifespan and very difficult to replace.

Could take responsibility and turn your monitor off.
But you like to waste. So.

This is not repeatable as I have THREE expensive OLED monitors and I don't have a single issue as you've mentioned.
OLED burn-in typically takes 5,000–20,000 hours (1–5 years of heavy use) with static content at high brightness. Modern OLEDs (2020–2025) resist burn-in better with mitigation like pixel shifting.

I too game on an OLED. OLED tech has come a long way and burn in is a NON-ISSUE today with most modern OLED displays. Again, quit trolling.
