The gunplay in this game is extremely frustrating

After yet another evening cursing at the endless streak of 96/98/99 hp and missed kills on enemies, I finally decided to rant here about the gunplay.

I have been playing the series since BC1 on PS3. I clocked 900 hours on BF3, 500 on BF4, a few hundreds more on the other titles. I'm currently sitting on 300 hours on BF6, and the last 50 or so have been more frustrating than anything I've experienced before on any of the other titles.

I play mostly infantry, and have a KD close to 3, so while I understand I'm nowhere near the top 1% I'm also not completely hopeless when it comes to shooting with rifles.

Ever since the patch that added limb multipliers dropped, I've hated playing infantry with all I have. It's the most inconsistent experience I've had in a shooter in years. There are games where I still manage to get decent enough results, and then most of the time my experience depends on the whims of the RNG gods.

Having both a huge amount of random bloom on guns and cranked up limb multipliers means that even if I shoot straight on target, I may get unlucky and have one of the bullets hit an arm or leg, and then I'm just **bleep** because the other guy got lucky and happened to hit me in the chest all with all his rounds.

Every single gunfight is a dice roll on whether or not I happen to be the lucky one. Every single automatic gun feels terrible because there is no full auto gun that will actually shoot straight even if I burst fire. The TR7 will miss one shot out of a burst of three on a stationary target 10 meters away: how the **bleep** is that reasonable?

How does random bloom help with skill expression, if the RNG spread does whatever and even shooting center mass will just have random bullets hit random arms or legs?

All of this makes gunplay inconsistent, unsatisfying and straight up obnoxious all the time. Please, please, please revert some of the changes. Either remove the random spread, or get rid of the **bleep** limb multipliers, because having both at the same time is just going to make uninstall the game. While it wasn't perfect, the gunplay that we had during the early months of the game was so much better than what we have now.

Limb multipliers are here to stay. I don't like it either, but lots of people really wanted it. Part of a live service game is watching things you like about what you bought get removed or changed.

  • Yeah mate, I don't even want to complete my Battle Pass. I am really tired of this game and it makes me sad. It's really starting to look like this game is heading straight for the worst-case scenario.

My problem is not with limb multipliers specifically, it's how they interact with the random recoil. I would be fine with limb multipliers if I could actually control the gun the way I wanted, but for some reason we get the absolute worst of both worlds.

I have no idea how people are fine with the current implementation.
