Jets are horrible. To fly and to counter

Disappointing but not unexpected.

The only planes that have ever been fun and easy to fly and to counter are the ones in BF1. I loved flying them and enjoyed countering them with AA and LMGs.

Unfortunately, we are back to BF4-type jets that are almost totally 'apart' from everyone else's experience and most people just don't even try them because of how inaccessible they are.

They just provide frustrating random death-from-above to the vast majority of players.

Countering them is near impossible if it's an above average pilot and tedious even against less experienced pilots.

Making them anything like realistic means they simply can't be balanced against anything but other planes and because of the rarity of people wanting to play Battlefield yet end up in a flightsim, there is usually just one dominating a match and creating an imbalance.

They should have been left out, but they are just too effective a cinematic marketing ploy for EA to resist.
