It's a niche, you could probably count the players on your hands that have used the mentioned option in previous games. Most likely they have not implemented it since a very small number of players have been using it.

Typical console player response. Niche- clueless. Anyone playing pc knows flying with a KB/mouse is the dumbest thing ever. EA seems to be catering to the console guys giving them KB/mouse support.

Absolutely! They have it in store and just don't want to implement it. As I said, make it optional, so those who play with mouse keyboard can still do so, but also flight stick players will outperform :)

and yet joystick support has been in since bf1942 and only in the last couple of titles have they dropped it.

Couldn't disagree more. The thing that makes Battlefield unique in this genre is its vehicles, including aircraft. They've had joystick support for these since backing Battlefield 1, all the way up until the last Battlefield that released. EA have spent half a billion dollars on this game, so it's not too much to ask for joystick support to be added to a game that's worth over $100. They can do it, and they should do it.

That is just wrong!!
They stopped implementing native flight stick support when they switched from making pc games to making console centric games that work on PC.
There are A LOT of pc users that use flight sticks in the BF games.
